Self pacing with Help

You have purchased some of the MathEverywhere Courseware, and want to proceed to work through it, or part of it. You'd like some help from time to time, and you'd like someone to comment on the work you do.

You need a personal mentor.

We have a mechanism for that to accomodate your needs.

Here's how it works.

You sign up for a personal seminar. That's simply an entitlement for tutorial services from us which lasts for five weeks. You are assigned a personal mentor and a teacher. During that three week period, you work on parts of the lessons that both you and your mentor agree are appropriate for you. When you have questions, you ask your mentor. When you have work to show, you show it to your mentor, and your mentor makes critical comments for you. When you want to check how much you've learned, you can ask your mentor for a quiz on a specific unit.

You are purchasing mentor time in repeatable five week chunks.

Your first time out gets you an extra two weeks.

When you sign up for your very first seminar from Math Everywhere, you have things to learn about the tools you use. You need to know how you will communicate with your mentor and teacher. You need to know how to use Mathematica and the lesson notebooks. You need to know how to turn in and retrieve your work. You need to know more about communicating with your mentor, teacher and even other students. We'll walk you through all of that during a prep week once you have all the tools.

What do you get?

Registering for a single seminar of five week duration gets you the following mentor services.

What are the costs?

You'll pay for our services, of course. Our service fee is $270 per seminar. The very first time you sign up, there is that two week orientation included which takes you through the basics of our communication procedures, and through a hands-on introduction to the Mathematica software packages. Your mentor will help you through all of that.

You'll also need some Internet tools you may not already have. We'll help you get those. Most come with your operating system, or are free from your Internet Service Provider. The things you need to purchase beyond that are copies of the MathEverywhere Courseware interactive lessons, and a personal copy of Mathematica.
